Diver's Notes

Amazed to get out on this dive.... Had been blown out for the whole of Friday.... Until the 6pm forecast.

A rapid pack up at home and then headed over to daves for food and a disturbed night sleep with his cats!

Nice dive though. Massive wreck although we spent a fair bit of time at the start missing it. Helped settle us into the dive though and felt pretty comfy for having had a few minutes getting settled.

Once we did move away from the stuff scattered around off the side of the wreck we worked our way forward alongside the starboard side. At the time I had no clue where we were until we reached the striking bow which is still pretty intact.

Along our swim down the starboard side we found a Big old lobster could up with a conger and a huge shrimp in a hole. There is a huge scour towards the bow which gave away below me and lured me down into the depths.

Once we had seen the bow we worked our way up into the Wreck and past lots of wooden decking, winches, radiators and other varying bits of debris. Looks all very flattened now and a heavy load of silt seems to have filled up and open areas below the top level.

Think we spotted two boilers (in line as opposed to side by side).

Great getting 50 mins bottom time with no deco :-) really enjoying the calmness of rebreather diving and the bizarre way that an hour just seems to race by.
