Diver's Notes

Ghar Lapsi, Malta

Not the most thrilling of dives but impressed that I managed to get us back to home! Started the dive through a little cave/swim-through from a little sheltered cove down into 8m in the open sea. Nessa was brilliant and found another octopus. Then swam into the middle of nowhere it seemed to find a metal nativity set that has been left in an overhanging cave. Then past a couple of rocks- one of which looked like an elephant. The main aim of the dive was to swim through a cave at 22m which has a whole at the top. Wasn’t very impressive compared to the cathedral cave in Gozo though :-(

Made our way back to the little swim through into the cove, which Nessa was very impressed with. Didn’t much fancy getting back into the cold damp wetsuit again today to dive at this site again (limited by the wind and swell still) so an ice cream and a lager at the hill top restaurant seemed a better option!
