Diver's Notes

First open water dive on the ADP.

Taking in Hannah and Ken again.

This dive felt like quite a step up for the two of them compared to the confined water dives. There was a fair bit of extra task loading and I think the two of them were a bit narked too- Hannah kept asking for my air as she thought I was Ken!

Dived from the southerly end of the platform straight down the wall to 35m. Ken caused a silt avalanche down the wall and plummeted to 16m before I stopped him to do his bubble check.

Things got a bit more on track as we got to 30m although Ken took off at a few points and the two of them acted like they were on a solo dive pretty much.

Ken tried climbing up the wall as we ascended which was amusing but another since of narcosis ;-)

Up onto the flat and along to the Cardiff double decker and then the jet fuselage.

At 16min we started ascending, sent up DSMBs and then gas switched onto 80% and did our deco stops before ascending.

A bit of a tough debrief came afterwards but they certainly took the message onboard as next dive was great!
