Diver's Notes

After a good lie in, we set off late to dive this wreck. We were lucky to find that only one other car was there when we arrived. So we tried to time things well getting in the water to avoid them. We also managed to avoid the vast hordes that arrived from Malta shortly before we got in.

So.... we had the wreck to ourselves! Meant we could take plenty of time exploring and taking photos.

Arrived at the bow and checked out the lettering on the side, which we’d both missed last time. Then sternwards to find the propellor and a little moray eel wrapped around it. Had to drag Nessa away from him to continue inside as deco was already clocking up. Inside we made sure to duck down the stairs into the lower deck and Nessa even found herself floating around in the engine room.

Amazing how much light there is around on this wreck even at 40m- comes out nicely in the photos with wide angle lens. Felt a bit narky on this dive though for some reason and was pretty keen to leave the wreck once we’d got up to 12 mins of deco. So we said goodbye and made our way over to the reef again.

Spent most of the time here just finning around laughing at the other divers getting in (force fins smashing into the sea bed etc) and investigating a scared little octopus, which was hidden in a little hole.
