Diver's Notes

This wreck apparently had the paint stripped off it before it was sunk. This was an experiment to see how marine life grew compared to the Karwela, which was left with the paint on. Very similar sized wreck and quite nice to swim through the length of it. Nessa found a couple of the sweet little purple nudibranches around the wreck but no sizeable other marine life around the wreck. Was a nice winch in the middle of the companionway inside, which I took a photo or two of. Was using my wide angle lens today to try to increase the light in my camera and decrease shutter speed. In the end I found that the automatic function seemed the best but I await the results....

Off the wreck we headed north back onto the reef, taking in a wide section that the previous dive down here. Lots of sea grass and plentiful wrasse darting around the place. Lots of very large boulder dotted around but would take a lot of rooting to find any large marine life. The only thing of note was a fat little Torpedo ray that we spotted on the reef but swam off down the wall.
