Sunset/ Night dive, first dive in Malapascua windy, choppy, drop in front of Malapascua Lighthouse in 30fsw. Swim around reef area looking for mating Mandarinfish and other photo ops. Ok night dive, not spectacular.

2022-06-15 - Monad Shoal, Malapascua Island, Philippines

!st time Monad Shoal early morning looking for Thresher Sharks Beautiful sunrise 35 minute boat ride, parked on buoy, drop to 50 ft , 100 m swim to shoal/ wall. Looking to deep water saw 1st shark from distance only. Second shark up into our artea, a couple turns and disappear. Third shark up to top of shoal 2-3 turns, cleaning and then off to North. 3RD SHARK WAS THE LARGEST. Also saw juvenile Whitetip Shark swim by just before 3rd Thresher. Amazing experience, decent pics and videos.

2022-06-15 - Gato Island (South Wall), Malapascua lsland, Philippines

2nd dive of day, 1st dive Gato Island South Wall site, dropped in, tried to swim near steep rocks, but current is too strong, drop in to depth, looking for escape of ripping current. Found some on outside, but not much for photos, DISAPPOINTING

2nd dive Gato Island, trying to wait for less current, day after Full Strawberry moon. Tunnel was fun, but crowded, not much spotted after tunnel. DM had issues using Suunto Zoop computer AGAIN!! DISAPPOINTING PO2 0.68

Day 2 , Monad Shoal double drop Drop in same buoy swim to edge. Only one shark spotted top of shoal from distance, short video This is a fun dive, even if you only spot 1 shark.
