Diver's Notes

Navigation/Buoyancy course: Dennis Zullig, instructor

First conducted a buoyancy test using 1000 psi.

Started out too light and could not get under without kicking. I used 10 lbs (8/2 split), but with the 80 cf tanks instead of 100's. Added 2 pounds to the pockets, which worked perfectly.

Navigated on bearing to plane, then practiced buoyancy by using breathing techniques only.

Navigated back to spool, then to cardinal points (N, W, S, E) and 40 kicks (20 left, 20 right) for each leg to close square. Came back within 2 feet of spool @ 35 kicks on the last leg!
