Diver's Notes

Another dive with sharks! I was one of the first (if not the first) off the boat this time. That gave me a great chance and vantage point to see the other divers jump in from 50 feet below. Beautiful reef with a lot of coral mounds and "canyons" to swim through and explore. Notable fish included a Nassau Grouper and blue parrotfish. Billy and some other divers found a young loggerhead turtle that swam right by Jen and me, and then shot straight up to the surface! That's the first time I've seen one come up, and it was pretty neat to watch him as he popped up from below. There were also at least 2 reef sharks circling the boat, that I witnessed close-hand while on my safety stop.
