Diver's Notes

Sunny day, seas with a 2-3' chop. We revisited the Spiegel Grove late in the morning. (Our early morning departure time was cancelled due to weather.) The timing was perfect: the seas died down and their were no other divers around!

We descended the same line as on Friday, but took a counter-clockwise route down and along the hull next to the deck. We did a light penetration through the hull over to the starboard side. Very cool!

There were a lot of barracuda; Jen saw a black grouper, but I didn't (I was too busy checking out the ship!).

I filmed this dive, correctly I hope!

The current was the strongest I've experienced, but half o what it was on the USCG Duane yesterday when we aborted. We were still hanging on to the line like flags in the wind when we performed our safety stop.

Overweight: next time try 16 (14/2)

SAC = 1.24
