I joined Billy and Brad at Fantasy Lake Adventure Park for a couple of afternoon dives. Brad is working on his dive guide cert and wanting to get more familiar with the quarry while also working on his trim and weighting with his new drysuit.
The weather was nice, about 70 degrees with overcast. The water temps were about the same as last week, but the visibility was worse, about 5 to 10 feet. Both Billy and Brad wore high-visibility drysuits so spotting them proved to be no issue. Our first dive started at the pavilion where we made our way to the airplane before following the line to the sailboat, then circling back toward the bus via a circuitous route that took us by several other features as well. I was a little chilly, but the temperature was manageable with my 3mm wetsuit and hooded vest. My weight was heavy with six pounds.
