We swam to the large boat for our second dive. We penetrated the cabin and pilot house, but could not go further as all of the passageways have been closed off. We didn't spend much time there before swimming back to the airplane and bus, before turning and making our way back to the entrance.
I felt much colder on this dive than the first and those last week. I think this is largely due to the longer duration underwater followed by a short surface interval. My average depth was slightly lower, too, which may have put me under the thermocline for more time. When I surfaced, my fingers were numb, though I didn't feel that much discomfort while diving. I shed two pounds of weight from my trim, leaving four in my pockets and was still heavy. I think with the steel tanks, I will try no weight next time.
