Diver's Notes

Back at Landslide, we were hoping to encounter another whale shark. So much in fact, we only settled on the ledge for a few minutes before Paulo decided our best chance would be out over the blue, a twenty or so yards away from the wall. On the ledge we saw several green turtles and fine spotted morays, and then swam through schools of creole fish and jacks out over the blue water. A lot of hammerheads were scattered about, as well as galapagos sharks, but no whale shark showed itself. In short order, our time was up and we headed to the surface and to dinner. We would have two more chances to spot whale sharks here in the morning before taking the 2 1/2 hour ride over to Darwin Island.
