Diver's Notes

Second dive for today: planned to go to the bus or plane for more buoyancy practice and play some hoops!

Swam right over the court (or really close) without ever seeing it; we back-tracked, finding it and played for awhile before tiring out (really went through some air!).

Stopped at the plane to explore and swim through, and practice our buoyancy. We found more bass, one large one hanging around the plane.

On the swim back, I lost my fins! Well, they weren't mine: I had picked Elle's up by mistake and didn't realize it until I was already at the quarry. They were snug around my toes, but I couldn't get my feet in them far enough to be secure. They worked fine on the first dive, albeit affecting my kick a bit. This time, however, they must have loosened up a bit and when kicking to get back to the beach, I felt the first one come off. When I turned around, I saw it floating up toward the surface. So I turned to go after it when the second one came off! Now I had one floating up in one direction, and the other in the other direction! I recovered them both and put them back on to swim out.

Saw the fish beds on the way back out and they were full. There was also a large mouth bass circling them.
